Weekly homework tasks
Please continue to read at home each day and practice your times tables.
Ensure TT Rockstars and Bedrock are completed regularly too.
Homework expectations
Weekly homework needs to be completed to enhance your child's learning in class. Please ensure the following tasks are completed each week: reading log, multiplication facts and spellings.
Each week, your child will focus upon a times table. In addition to their homework and spelling, your child will bring home a times table sheet. This will enable the children to practice their tables in advance of a weekly times table test. The times table test will take place every Tuesday afternoon.
Thank you
Welcome to our parent community
We would like to warmly welcome you to our Year 4 page! Your child has settled well into the routines of their class and are well versed with weekly expectations. Do remember that any communication can be shared, between school and home, in your child's Reading Log; please check this regularly. As always, do speak to your child's teacher on the gate at the end of the day or make an appointment to pop in and see us if that is more convenient. We look forward to sharing your child's learning journey with you.

PE dates
Our PE days are Tuesday and Wednesday.
Our school based PE lessons will be led by the class teachers. Our focus for the next half term will be swimming and net games (tennis). Your child will need a full school PE kit:
White t-shirt, black shorts, sweatshirt, jogging trousers and outdoor trainers.
A swimming hat and googles are required for swimming. As we are approaching autumn and winter, please ensure you send your child to school with a coat on Tuesdays.
If your child wears earrings, please ensure that they are able to remove their own earrings before our PE lessons. If you feel your child will struggle with this, earrings will need to be removed at home. Plastic ear studs are available to buy from the school office.
